Telegram Setup Guide
This guide is for Telegram. Sentinel’s Telegram solution recommends using your own Telegram Bot, configured and managed through the Sentinel panel.
Step 1: Open the console
- Open the Sentinel console
- Sign in to your account
- Enter the Telegram panel
- Select the group you want to manage
All configuration is done in the web panel. You do not need to edit YAML files.
Step 2: Connect the bot and group
- Create or prepare your Telegram Bot
- Import the bot token in the Telegram panel
- Add the bot to your Telegram group
- Grant admin permissions to the bot
- Bind the group in the dashboard and check bot status
Recommended permissions:
- Delete messages
- Restrict users
- Invite users
- Manage topics
If your group is a Forum group, use /threadid to get the target topic ID, then configure commands, broadcasts, tickets, or growth modules to target that topic.
Step 3: Enable core modules
Recommended order:
- Verification: after manual approval, the bot mutes the user and guides them to private verification
- Anti-spam: configure keywords, link rules, rate limits, and allowlists
- Tickets: route user feedback into a trackable flow
- AI support: upload materials and set tone, boundaries, and escalation rules
- Points: enable message points, invite points, and task rewards
- Tasks: start with daily messages, invites, and external screenshot review tasks
- Raffles or shop: give points a sink so users know points matter
- Analytics: review acquisition, activity, point spending, and module conversion
User commands
Commands available to members depend on panel configuration.
/points
View my point balance
/rank
View the points leaderboard
/invite
Get an invite link; both users can receive points after a successful join
/tasks
View currently available tasks
/submit <ID> <link>
Submit an external task, for example:
/submit 3 https://.../raffle
View active raffles and join through buttons
/shop
Browse items in the points shop
/redeem <ID>
Redeem a shop item with points, for example:
/redeem 1/ticket your question
Create a ticket. The user must first send
/start to the bot in private chat/help

Admin commands
Admins can use these commands inside Telegram groups. Complex operating configuration still belongs in the web dashboard.
/threadid
Get the current Forum Topic ID for command channels, broadcasts, tickets, and module targeting
/setadmin <group_id>
Set the current group as the admin group for a target group, for example:
/setadmin -1002329359197/deleteservice
Toggle automatic cleanup of service messages, such as join, leave, title change, and pin notifications
/clearall
Clear messages tracked by the bot in the current channel or topic. It cannot delete untracked Telegram history
First launch checklist
- Enable verification, anti-spam, and tickets before focusing only on points
- Put commands in a dedicated topic and keep the main group clean
- Start the first week with lightweight tasks: messages, invites, and external screenshot review
- Do not emphasize raffle participant count; show odds and status instead
- Review analytics daily: new members, activity, task completion, raffle participation, shop redemption, and ticket topics
