Discord Growth System

The Discord growth system turns user behavior into a loop built around points, tasks, campaigns, raffles, and the shop. Discord works best when these actions are concentrated in configured channels.

Unlike Telegram Forum Topics, Discord is usually organized with channel ID targeting. Sentinel supports channel IDs for each growth submodule so new content is published to the right channel and users interact in the right place.

Points system

Points are the accounting unit for community behavior.

They can track:

  • Messages
  • Task completions
  • Campaign participation
  • Raffle spending
  • Shop redemptions
  • Manual admin adjustments

Put point queries and leaderboards in a dedicated channel to avoid command noise in the main chat.

Task system

Tasks structure operating actions.

Common tasks:

  • Message tasks
  • Invite tasks
  • External link or screenshot submissions
  • Campaign participation tasks
  • Manual review tasks

When creating a task, configure the task channel ID. After creation, the bot publishes the task to that channel and users submit there.

Campaigns

Campaigns hold operating moments such as:

  • AMA warmups
  • Launch campaigns
  • Airdrop registration
  • Prediction campaigns
  • Community challenges

The campaign module focuses on title, schedule, participation rules, rewards, and participation data. The analytics page shows campaign performance.

Raffles

Raffles turn points into anticipation.

Supported concepts:

  • Point-based entry
  • Prize configuration
  • Stock or winner slots
  • Drawing status
  • Winner list

Do not overemphasize participant count during a campaign. In cold starts, users care more about “Do I have a chance?” than “How many people joined?”

Points shop

The shop gives points a destination.

Good redemption items include:

  • Whitelist spots
  • Discord roles
  • Campaign eligibility
  • Community perks
  • Merchandise or services

Items need price, stock, and redemption instructions. Admins can process orders in the backend after redemption.

Channel ID targeting

Each submodule should usually have a channel ID:

  • Points channel
  • Task channel
  • Campaign channel
  • Raffle channel
  • Shop channel

Benefits:

  1. Main chat stays clean
  2. Users know where to participate
  3. Bot can restrict interaction scope
  4. Analytics are cleaner

Start with lightweight growth

For the first version, enable points and tasks before raffles and the shop. Do not make the mechanism too heavy at launch.
